Dog Aggression
Billie has worked with thousands of dogs who display different forms of aggression. Her extensive experience has enabled her to develop the formula to successfully rehabilitate dog aggression by applying the principles of CBT to dogs.
Common Types of Dog Aggression:
dog to dog aggression
dog to human aggression
resource guarding/possession aggression
unpredictable/sporadic aggression
situational/area/stimuli dependent aggression (ie - vet clinic, dog park, in-home, quick movements, bicycles etc)
The UPWARD Dogology™ formula has a high success rate in rehabilitating behaviors associated with dog aggression because we do not focus on the behavior; we focus on the reason for the behavior. By “reason”, we are not referring to the cause, such as abuse or lack of socialization, but the dog’s self-perceived need to do that behavior to achieve his or her goal. The UPWARD Dogology™ formula allows us to establish skills outside of the negative factor or stimuli (whatever that may be to the dog), change the dog’s perception of us, and apply multiple techniques to change the behavior by changing thought patterns. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy changes behaviors by changing thought patterns in humans, and many other species.
Dogs Love It. And You Will, Too!
“Wonderful work! Billie had me trained within 2 weeks! I went from an aggressive situation where one of my babies was going to possibly go to the shelter, to both happily living together again!”
